Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer

Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)

Our client is a global leader in Precision & CNC Engineering.  An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Engineer will work alongside a team of engineers within maintenance, projects, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake the day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant, equipment & facilities.
Liaise with Engineering Manager, Shift Managers and other shift staff in providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support on shift.
Undertake electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repair on plant and machinery.
Identify and report on materials and parts required to overcome breakdowns and repairs.
Breakdown resolution, repairs and improvements to all machinery and processes.
The use of multi test equipment to identify and rectify faults within control systems.
Record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs.
Ensure parts required to repair machines are ordered through the relevant process in a timely fashion.
Undertake training, as necessary to maintain high standards in the quality of work provided.

  QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

City & Guilds – Part 3 or ONC/OND/HNC Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
Experience gained in a manufacturing environment (Essential)
Pneumatics fault finding (Essential)
Interpretation of complex electrical drawings (Essential)
An understanding of electronics is desirable but not essential
Experience in the following modern control systems (Desirable)
o PLCs fault finding
o Drives & Controls
o Encoders, sensors & feedback systems
o CNC machine controls
Modifications to electrical and electronics circuits (Desirable)
 Retrofitting of drives and configuring parameters (Desirable)
 Some experience of installation projects (Desirable)
