Lead Engineer – Optical Technologies – Suffolk – IM3371

Salary: c£45-55k, plus benefits.

Job Term: Permanent, Full Time, Onsite

Job Outline:

To meet their future growth plans a market leader in the development of fiberoptic products is now looking for a Lead Engineer to join their UK Head Offices.

Reporting to the MD this new role will see you leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver new and existing products.

As an experienced Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer you will use your strong Project Management, and Leadership skills to be involved in product development, and engineering.

Working with the Engineering, Development and NPI Teams you will develop, implement, manage and monitor the technology roadmap.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement and Sales you will ensure new products are delivered on time, to budget and to customer requirements.

This is a new role with a growing company, where you can make your mark, and be instrumental in defining a future for yourself and the company too. Future career progression is offered with the strong possibility of moving up to a Senior Engineering Management role in the near future.

Experience:

A proven experience in a similar engineering role, ideally working in optics, materials and mechanical design is required to succeed in this role

You should have successfully led teams and projects to meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering is required with lead / management experience.
