Delivering high-quality design and deliverable solutions, a talented and experienced Architectural Technician is required to join the team.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to work on a variety of exciting projects, from disability adaptations to bespoke residential developments. You will play a key role in managing the technical aspects of projects, liaising with clients, contractors, and the design team, and ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce detailed architectural drawings and technical specifications using AutoCAD.
Work on residential projects, with a particular focus on disabled adaptations, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and regulations.
Manage traditional contracts and be actively involved in project delivery, from design through to completion.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Assist with site visits, assessments, and coordination of building works.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and the wider team.
Contribute to the development of design solutions that are innovative, practical, and inclusive.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (5-10 years) as an Architectural Technician with a strong portfolio of residential and accessible design projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Experience in managing traditional contracts and working with construction teams.
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning permissions, and accessibility standards (e.g. Part M of the Building Regulations).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
A degree in architecture / Architectural Technologist or HNC / HND.
Membership with an architectural professional body (RIBA, CIAT, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
