Year 1 Teacher - About the Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum. You will support children in building foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy, while nurturing their social and emotional development. You will monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt your teaching methods to ensure every child achieves their potential. Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children feel encouraged to participate and explore will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will work closely with your colleagues to deliver a stimulating Key Stage 1 curriculum and communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child’s progress.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, are essential.
