Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £45,000 basic
Location: Near Reading, RG2
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, alternating weekly: 7 AM–4 PM & 8 AM–5 PM
Leave: 25 days + bank holidays
Team: 4-man shift team

Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll manage maintenance and servicing for six commercial office buildings. This position offers hands-on responsibilities, ensuring mechanical systems run smoothly and efficiently across our small, well-maintained commercial sites.

Carry out the servicing and reactive repairs to electrical & mechanical services. Additionally the engineer will be expected to assist other trades as directed by the operations supervisor.

Carry out routines unsupervised (PPM and reactive), diagnose and repair faults on electrical and building services (L8, AHU maintenance, fire alarms, lighting testing, lighting repairs, pumps, motors, heating system fault finding and awareness (Heat exchangers, actuators, pipe work)

Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to;

* Emergency lighting

* AHU’s, FCU’s

* Pumps, Motors

* Plumbing

* Fans, Belts, Filters

* General maintenance
