Tribologist

This new role is working for a brand leading and innovative company at the forefront within their sector. They specialise in lubricants development and application and how tribology performance is affected.

Key responsibilities as a Tribologist

* Manage and execute both long & short-term development activities with R&D programme

* Develop and evaluate new formulations for new and existing applications, to bring them to the market speedily and effectively.

* Ideally Experience of working with Dynamometers and Bruker Tribolab but not essential

* Lead in the Understanding of Tribology and Lubrication testing on drive chains

* Ensure all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner and all associated requirements, objectives and targets are fully met.

* Ensure good communication and appropriate involvement with other R&D (Research & Development) functions, i.e., Development, Technical Service and Commercial teams.

* Support and develop technical staff when required – training

The Candidate

* BSc or higher in Material Science and Engineering or a related subject

* Experience in lubricant formulation development

* Experience or running and understanding tribological processes

* Experience in project and people management
