CNC Programmer– Coventry

Hours: Full time 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Up to £20.00 per hour (dependant on experience)

We are recruiting for a company that has been established for over 40 years and are in the process of expanding its team. They provide manufacturing and precision engineering services to some of the world’s leading companies.

The company specialise in precision engineering, offering a broad range of in-house capabilities with a commitment to excellence in quality and service.

They are looking for a permanent CNC programmer in either turning or milling bias to produce programmes for components to drawings and check/update all existing programmes, whilst also liaising with their in-house team and with customers to streamline their production and produce their products.

Experience of CNC Programmer must have previous experience in a relevant sector.

Main Responsibilities of a CNC programmer:

* To be responsible for the security and organisation and production of the CNC programmes associated with DNC and CAD/CAM software/solid works/Vericut

* Review existing programmes when required to increase efficiency in production

* To suggest new training/new technology programmes as appropriate

* Develop works instructions & route instructions for CNC programs to assist production

* Assist CNC turning or milling operators with technical issues & problem solving on machines

* Assist with program prove out at machine with turning operators

* Research and assist with tooling alongside Tooling and Production technician to maximise cost-effective tooling controls

* Accurately contribute to the estimation process as appropriate

* Assist and resolve technical problems as and when they arise and put an action plan to prevent future problems

* Constantly work towards improving the efficiency on machines

* Liaise with customers regarding programming or the creation of solid models from customer’s drawings

* Assist with tooling and kitting CNC Turning

* Operate CNC lathes when required to do so
