Part-Time Teaching Assistant (Year 11 Support)

Empowering Learning is seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a thriving secondary school located in Walthamstow, East London. This is a part-time position, with working days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, supporting Year 11 students with additional needs, including challenging behaviour, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to Year 11 students, helping them manage their behaviour, emotions, and social interactions.
Assist in implementing tailored learning plans that address individual needs and promote personal growth.
Collaborate closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and productive learning environment.
Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.Requirements:

Experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour is highly beneficial.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to de-escalate situations when necessary.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
