Job Title: Distribution Team Leader
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum
Location: Harlow, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 5pm
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Distribution Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations within our client distribution and assembly team. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will ensure efficient order management, quality standards, and on-time deliveries while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of Distribution & Assembly Operatives, driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
* Manage workload priorities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
* Conduct team meetings, 1-2-1s, and training, while monitoring KPIs and maintaining records.
* Oversee inventory management, incoming goods processing, and equipment monitoring.
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance, reporting accidents and near misses, and implementing corrective actions.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team and area.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven leadership experience in a logistics/manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of stock control, SAP, and Microsoft programs.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Forklift license (preferred).
* Ability to work under pressure with a "can do" attitude.
