Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP)

Hybrid working 2/3 days office based

£55k – £65k Dependent on experience

This role is to join a highly successful boutique firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering.

They work on some really high profile projects with leading architects, designers and contractors and have an excellent reputation for delivery, quality and reliability of their services.

Responsibilities

* Work with and have an appreciation of the integration of other construction professionals’ requirements for the project

* Ensure that all work under your control is undertaken to relevant and applicable UK and EU regulations, and design guides.

* Develop and produce reports, specifications, guidance notes and general correspondence ensuring quality and technical quality standards are met

* To act as Mechanical Project Lead on projects and be responsible for the quality of output produced for the project.

* To provide technical leadership and support professional development of more junior engineers.

* To prepare and present designs, reports, calculations, and specifications.

* To conduct technical review of projects.

* To liaise closely with all levels of client management.

Experience

* Preferably a graduate with a relevant degree

* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building services design,

* Some experience of office fit out MEP design

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of direct interface with client teams.

* Track record of managing, leading and successfully delivering projects in an engineering design consultancy
