THE COMPANY
We are working on behalf of a market leading Design Consultancy who are looking to grow their Design Management function in London working on hyperscale data centre developments throughout the UK and Europe.
This is an opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing and busiest sectors in global construction, without needing any prior experience in the Data Centre field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Principal Design Manager will collate designs.
*
The Principal Design Manager will have to manage taking change requests from and effectively communicate with the client.
*
The Principal Design Manager will manage design and interfaces between disciplines and sub-consultants.
*
The Principal Design Manager will liaise with contractors, clients, and internal/external consultants regarding project delivery.
*
Proactively take ownership of agreed actions, including adherence to technical and project peer and stakeholder review milestones
*
Management, mentoring and leadership of the project team
*
Support project delivery, team performance and business development
*
Ensure project performance and profitability in line with business objectives
*
The Principal Design Manager will be able to manage multiple disciplines and managing internal and external consultancies.
REQUIREMENTS
*
Have experience in experience in design management and engineering with a background in engineering, design management consulting, or construction.
*
The Principal Design Manager will have experience in having led or taken full responsibility for a large-scale single use project.
*
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status
*
10+ Years’ experience at Senior Engineer level or above
*
The Principal Design Manager will possess an understanding of key disciplines and interactions between them on large scale and complex building projects.
*
The Principal Design Manager will ideally have experience on data centre projects.
