Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor required for an excellent opportunity in Brighton. £44 - £50k plus flexible package.

Our client is a specialist contractor who specialise in construction and carpentry projects up to £10m across the South East of England working for private clients, Commercial clients and Local Authorities.

Due to growth our client is looking to employ an Assistant / Intermediate QS to work alongside one of their Senior Quantity Surveyors and add strength to the Commercial Team.

Main responsibilities include:

* Assisting the Senior Surveyor in securing new work

* Following up tender enquiries including pricing, preparation and negotiation of new contracts

* Assisting in setting up contract terms with new clients

* Organising, planning and undertaking site surveys

* Interpreting specification and measuring from drawings

* Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required

* Providing administrative support to the team

* Assisting the Contracts Managers with booking in and site visits where required.

Knowledge and skill set required:

* Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with customers and external contacts.

* Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometimes implement own processes

* Eque 2 Knowledge ideal but not essential

* Capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

* Analytical and problem solving skills

* Motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic

* Works co-operatively and productively with others, to achieve results
