Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. They provide design and build services for new and existing infrastructure assets and non-infrastructure assets.
They are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer who will collaborate with the project team to ensure that throughout the project life cycle, all MEICA and process commissioning activities are planned and delivered to the appropriate standards and in line with the accepted commissioning plan and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
The ideal candidate will be someone who is quality-focused, with a drive to utilize existing processes and develop new procedures that will ultimately form the backbone of how new systems or plant are brought online and into service.
Key responsibilities will include:
Own and ensure that commissioning documentation is completed and available on the Common Data Environment, on a continuous basis, to demonstrate that testing requirements are fulfilled. This includes FAT, SAT, outage management plans, and ITPs.
Develop the Design Commissioning Plan to suit the actual project implementation in collaboration with the Client commissioning representatives.
Review and sign off project ITPs, ensuring that they are managed through Kier's common data environment.
Work with the supply chain onsite to fault find as and where required, ensuring activities are completed in a safe manner and in line with the project program.
Lead the reliability and performance testing stage of the project, including the production and acceptance of a report highlighting compliance with the Client's objectives.
Work with Kier's Project Engineers and support in the review of MEICA design outputs from our design partners in the early stages of the projects.
Manage the identification and close out of any defects on the MEICA packages.
