Role Summary

The Business Analyst works as part of a small a team of analysts within the Consulting team to provide specialist analytical, data modelling and change management support as part of our consulting propositions for healthcare productivity and clinical strategy. The postholder is adapt at conducting analyses and problem solving, with knowledge of analytical and modelling techniques relevant to enabling data-driven improvements within acute specialties (including but not limited to Radiology), and possesses the ability to adapt to new methodologies and software platforms to enable this.

Primary Responsibilities

* Support the Lead Business Analyst to provide expert analytics, data modelling and change management support to our NHS and private customers as part of our bespoke productivity / clinical strategy consultancy engagements. This includes supporting delivery of defined workstreams within an overall consulting programme of work, reporting to the assignment manager in the team (Senior Consultant).

* Work as part of the Business Analyst function in the team to:

1. Undertake structured analysis and identify data-driven insights via established methodologies to inform operational efficiency and clinical strategy development, within customer organisations and at a population level where required.

2. Deliver modelling, in some cases using simulation modelling techniques, with customers to model the impact of different change scenarios.

3. Undertake cost / benefit analysis of potential solutions, including the application of our latest technologies to support customer productivity improvements.

4. Identify and track progress against key performance indicators for each customer using performance dashboards.

* To support the Head of Consulting, consulting colleagues, Sales colleagues and Operations colleagues with sales and development activities to increase sales of value partnerships including contributing to co-creation events, bids and account management activities where required.

* Updating and maintaining all project information on the team workplan to enable optimal management of the consulting resource and workload.

* Engagement in corporate and customer events on behalf of the Consulting team as required.

* Based in the South, Midlands or North of England with home working and a requirement to travel across GB&I.

* Active participation to share learning and work as one team with consulting colleagues globally, including with headquarters.

* International travel may also be possible on occasion to support Siemens Healthineers global consulting teams.

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Degree Level or equivalent experience in an analytical-related discipline

* Evidence of further professional development

* Experience of working in or with NHS hospital specialities, including Imaging, across a number of different providers in a business analyst capacity

* A demonstrable understanding of the challenges faced by Imaging services in the UK and the root causes of these challenges

* Experienced in the successful application of a range of business analysis and consulting tools, including:

1. Lean and other process improvement/change management tools

2. Data analysis

3. Capacity & demand analysis

4. Workforce projections

5. Population health analysis to inform service provision

6. Project management

* Able to quickly get to grips with the application of new software platforms for analysis, modelling and dashboards to support our consulting engagements

* Highly experienced in using Powerpoint, Word, Excel and business intelligence / simulation software to produce analysis and influence positive action to improve services
