Job Description

CNC Turner required immediately by a long-established engineering company in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.Due to continued growth, we are looking to bring on an experienced CNC Turner to join our existing team on a permanent basis.

The company manufacture components in almost any material ranging from the design-prototype stage right through to production. Parts are made for customers in numerous industries. The company’s focus is on small batch and prototype machining.

Essential Skills

It is essential to be able to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment, understand tolerances and do your own self checking.

Programming, programme rectification, setting and operating of Turning Centres.

Optimising production techniques to increase efficiency.

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and as part of a small team.

Desirable:

Formal qualification in machining, with CNC bias, ideally apprentice trained.

Previous experience working with a Haas Lathe

Previous experience working with Mastercam Software
