We are looking for a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer for a 12 Month contract based in Bristol (Hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Purpose of the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer:

The role will be primarily focused on ensuring quality within the Dreadnought project, with a strong emphasis on supplier quality, supply chain management, and internal quality assurance.
As a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Several Switchboards: Efficiently oversee and coordinate multiple switchboards.
Planning: Develop and execute quality plans aligned with project objectives and timelines.
Engaging Key Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with other Quality Leads to uphold and improve quality standards.Core Focus Areas:

Supplier Quality:
Conduct supplier quality audits.
Manage improvement plans and ensure suppliers meet required standards.
Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 is preferred.
Manage FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) both with suppliers and internally.
Special Processes or Manufacturing Processes
Inspect and oversee special processes including coating, non-destructive testing (NDT), and painting.
Focus on special manufacturing processes within safety critical environments.

What we require from the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer:

Responsibility for supplier quality programmes within tightly regulated aerospace, defence or marine environments.
Proficiency in Aerospace, Defence, marine standards such ISO90011, AS9100, def-stan or mil-std.
Significant experience in implementing quality methodologies such as AQAP.
Proven experience in managing FAIRs.
Knowledge of supply chain management.
Ability to develop and implement improvement plans.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Experience with an MRP Systems would be beneficial.Next Steps:
