Our client is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their highly successful and collaborative team. You will be joining a business who are at the forefront of technology within a friendly and professional technical team.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the department in generating designs within the building and construction sector, including initial design concepts as well as modifications. 

The role is well suited to someone who wants to develop their design and engineering knowledge and grow within a reputed business.

Design Engineer role & responsibilities:

Creating new designs using design software, primarily AutoCAD
Modifying existing designs
Customising designs and drawing new variants of existing designs to meet client requirements
Liaising with internal support functions where required
Offering outstanding service to clients against agreed timescales
Producing specifications or technical information as required by clients
Liaising on projects by telephone and e-mail correspondence with regards to drawings and approvals This position is well suited to someone who:

Has previous experience in a Design role
Has experience of using AutoCAD
Good communication skills – ideally previous experience liaising with both internal stakeholders and customers as part of your work
Keen to learn and develop
Good team player
Good time management
