Electrical Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplined MEP consultancy based in Manchester. The successful candidate will join a team of highly technical individuals and be exposed to various projects from all sectors of the built environment.

Role responsibilities include:

Carrying out electrical building services design
Helping mentor and develop the more junior level engineers
Design systems for a range of projects using CAD and Revit
Producing electrical design calculations, as well as reports, drawings, and specifications for RIBA design stages
Work alongside and develop working relationships with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.
Take part in project group and technical meetings, whilst carrying out construction stage monitoring duties.The ideal candidate will have:

Relevant degree or qualification within a building services or electrical engineering field
Relevant design and site experience within a building services engineering role.
Successful track record working on projects within the Commercial Office Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Mixed Developments, Residential Accommodation and Leisure sectors
Up to date on sustainable design practices and CIBSE guides
Experience with industry relevant software such as Revit and AutoCADBenefits of the role include:
