Procurement Assistant - Manufacturing
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £35-£40k plus car allowance (some national travel required)
UK & European Manufacturing Group are actively seeking to add an experienced Procurement Assistant to their team, sitting at the right hand of the UK Head of Procurement.
For this opportunity, you would support the Head of Procurement to deliver Group procurement strategies across all spending areas. It's a responsible and high profile role within a fast-moving manufacturing business.
As a professional Buyer, Purchasing Specialist or Procurement Assistant or Executive you will already be familiar with performing a broad range of procurement activities including sourcing / pre-qualification, supporting & negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
It will be your responsibility to assist in the development, analysis and improvement of procurement processes and of course, liaise with internal stakeholders to determine their product and service needs ensuring supply agreements are fit for purpose and are reflective of actual requirements.
You don't need us to tell you what makes a good Procurement or Purchasing specialist in a manufacturing environment because it's what you do and what you are.
