Production Operative

Location: Outskirts of Ely

Hours: Double Day Shift 6am – 2pm week 1, 2pm – 10pm week 2 (Alternating weeks)

Hourly Rate / Salary: £11.44 p/h

Benefits: Holiday Pay + Pension

Duration: Temp to Perm

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Your duties will include operating machinery, assembling products, conducting quality checks, and keeping the workspace clean and organised. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Job Duties:

* Maintain high standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.

* Interpret and execute instructions from relevant specification sheets.

* Coordinate with departments to ensure adequate material quantities.

* Collaborate with the crew to efficiently set up jobs.

* Stack and prepare pallets for optimal palletisation presentation.

* Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks promptly and to a high standard.

* Assess manual handling and suggest improvements to the Machine Operator.
