Job Title: Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire

Start Date: March 2025

Salary: £83.39 - £86 per day

Can you support young children learn to through play?

Can you teach children using a range of strategies including good questioning techniques and dialogue to develop understanding and extend learning?

Can you encourage good manners and respectful behaviours in a positive manner?

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a wonderful Infant School that provides a happy, nurturing environment where children learn and play cooperatively in well equipped, stimulating rooms and outdoor spaces. The school is looking to take on a full-time Learning Support Assistant for a long term period who is driven and knows how to implement the national curriculum through play.

The successful applicant will be making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated as well as observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour. They will help children progress onto the next stage of their educational journey.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Childcare (preferred)
Previous experience in a professional childcare setting
Excellent relationship building skills with children
Driving License (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of the EYFS
