Pay Rate: £36 - £37 per hour

Contract: Temporary, Full-Time

Working Pattern: Hybrid

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Duty and Assessment Social Workers to join our Children's Services team at London Borough of Barnet. This role involves working on a fast-paced, demanding team, responding to urgent referrals, conducting initial assessments, and making decisions about the level of intervention required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to urgent referrals and conduct initial assessments.

* Make decisions about the level of intervention required, including initiating child protection enquiries.

* Work collaboratively with other professionals, including police, health, and education.

* Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.

* Adhere to statutory guidelines and procedures.

* Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota.

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work England registration.

* Relevant social work qualifications (Degree or Diploma level).

* At least 3 years' experience working in children's social work.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
