We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Applications Administrator to join and support our small, but amazing, IT team based in Repton. This role will lead to you being responsible for overseeing and optimizing business applications to enhance operational efficiency and achieve strategic goals. You will play a key role in sourcing software solutions, implementing them, ensuring seamless integration across departments, and improving system performance. £35,000 base + benefits, hybrid working on offer once settled in.
Additionally, you will assist IT colleagues with day-to-day duties as required, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and recommend suitable application solutions in line with modernisation plan.
Manage new vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements for sourced business applications.
Oversee system implementation, upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting.
Applications administration, development, and optimisation.
Ensure application security, compliance, and data integrity.
Provide training and support to end-users to enhance system adoption and efficiency.
Monitor application performance, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends to drive continuous improvements.
Develop and manage budgets for software and application-related projects.
Support IT colleagues in their general day to day duties.
Desired skills for this role:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years past industry experience in an IT Business analyst role and managing business applications.
Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
Experience in process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Knowledge of system integrations and data management.
Experience of co-ordinating projects and deadlines effectively.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
