Job title: Structural Engineer
Location: Lisburn Area. This is based in the office and will also require travel to sites
Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30 pm and Friday 9am to 3pm
Duration: Permanent

On behalf of our client, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join an organisation with a reputation as a leading Consulting Engineering Practices. This organisation cover Commercial and Residential projects throughout Ireland and the UK. They can count some prestigious clients amongst their portfolio.
The Structural Engineer will join a growing team at an exciting time in the organisation’s evolution and can expect opportunities to develop as well as progression. This opportunity will suit an individual looking to progress to Associate level but can equally offer the challenge and direction for the more Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Structural analysis and design.
* Structural assessment of existing structures.
* Managing and running structural design projects
* Monitoring project progress, budgets and schedule
* Site visits, carrying out desktop investigations, attending site meetings and checking progress and quality of work on site.
* Liaising with contractors, clients and architects.
* Representing the company at design team and contractor/client meetings and business.
* Development/networking events as may be required.
* Communicating clearly with team members, manager and contractors, architects, clients.
* Provide technical direction and mentoring to graduate engineers
You will need:
Please note, this is a full time, permanent role and you will need to be eligible to work permanently in the UK.
Minimum BTEC HND in Engineering or Construction related discipline is preferable.
Structural Engineering background.
Project experience as a technician within an engineering practice.
Ability to produce accurate and well-presented drawings or documents in accordance with briefings from engineering staff.
Ability to understand and create structural details from general arrangement plans
Knowledge and experience of all common building materials and details.
Experienced with 2D/3D draughting software using AutoCAD and REVIT.
Knowledge of BIM co-ordination on projects.
Ability to take ownership of own projects and undertaken coordination of works.
Experience of reinforced concrete detailing including the use of CADS RC.
Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of all the common building materials and details,
Good interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for team and self-development.
