Job Title: Remote Independent Prescriber Pharmacist – GP Surgery

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Rate: £30 - £35 ph (paid via a LTD company)

Type: Locum, Part-time/Full-time

Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start Date: Immediate (Ongoing contracts)

Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to join the team at a dynamic GP surgery on a remote, locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly from home while contributing to patient care in a forward-thinking primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct remote consultations with patients via telephone or video.
Review and prescribe medications in accordance with treatment plans and guidelines.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to GPs and healthcare professionals.
Manage repeat prescriptions and medication reviews.
Support chronic disease management, including conditions such as hypertension, asthma, and diabetes.
Contribute to improving medicines optimisation and patient safety.
Update clinical records accurately in line with GP surgery protocols.

Essential Requirements:

GPhC registered pharmacist with Independent Prescriber qualification.
Previous experience working in a primary care setting (GP surgery experience desirable).
Confidence in managing a wide range of medical conditions.
Strong knowledge of clinical systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne) or willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
