Our client based on the Isle of Sheppey requires CNC Machine Operator – the role is working rotating shifts – early/late.

The CNC Machine Operator role is offered as full time working the following shift pattern, rotating weekly:

Early Shift:

1. to Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.

1. 6:00 am to 1:30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Late Shift:

1. to Thursday, 12:00 pm to 9:45 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break.

While you are training, your working pattern will be:

1. to Thursday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm (including a 30-minute lunch break).

1. 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (no lunch break).

Salary – competitive depending on skill level and relevant experience

Preference will be given to candidates with CNC machining experience - ideally CNC grinding but milling and or turning experience will be considered.

However, if you don’t have any previous machining experience, if you are willing to undertake training then please still apply.

The CNC Machine Operator role will require you to: -

* Read and interpret tool drawing and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, control settings and machining methods and sequences.

* Load tool blanks into the machine.

* Start machine and monitor displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.

* Stop machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to drawing specifications.

* Inspect and measure tools and adjust machine or alert the team leader as necessary.

* Follow all factory procedures in regard to safety, production and quality.

* Clean the machine, tooling, parts, and work area
