Job Title: Plumbing & Drainage Technician
Location: Dartford, Bluewater

Working Hours: 45 Hours Per Week
Salary: £36,635 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment), Overtime, Travel Time, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits - Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts
An exciting opportunity is now live for a skilled Plumbing and Drainage Technician to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.
The role will involve maintaining and repairing all above-ground sanitary ware and general plumbing in retail stores. Additionally, the role requires colleague's to maintain and clean all surface and foul water drainage systems in the stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
* Where the sanitary ware or general plumbing/drainage is beyond repair, to make recommendations to the Area Maintenance Manager regarding suitable replacement/alternatives.
* Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
* Ensure all retail staff are aware of and understand company practices and procedures relating to plumbing/drainage systems.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
* NVQ2 Plumbing & Heating systems or equivalent.
Desirable but not essential:
* Course in water byelaws.
* L8 Legionella Control.
* Time-served apprenticeship with appropriate City and Guilds qualification.
The ideal candidate:
* Full current driving licence
* Ability to complete a wide range of general plumbing and sanitary ware maintenance and repairs.
* Competent in the use of steps and ladders, working in confined spaces etc.
