The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Rugby area. We are looking for multiple new pass HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours: Nights across Monday to Sunday with various start times available, average shift length of 10 to 12 hours.

Pay Rates (2 payment options):

*PAYMENT INCREASE AFTER COMPLETING 6 WEEKS WORK*

Payment Option 1:

* Monday to Saturday - £16.75 (PAYE)

* Sunday - £18.75 (PAYE)

Payment Option 2:

* Monday to Saturday - £18.77 (with holiday pay nights)

* Sunday - £21.01 (with holiday pay nights)

Location: Rugby , CV23.

Job Type: Ongoing.

The role:

· Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.

· Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

· Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

· Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

· Valid and in date DQC and Digital Tachograph card.

· New passes welcome! Less than 6 months experience welcome.

· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

· Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.

· Full understanding of WTD legislation.

· Excellent communication skills.
