Your World Recruitment is recruiting a Plumber, to join a healthcare organisation based in Chester to undertake plumbing and fitting maintenance repairs, planned inspections and improvements.

Duration of booking: Expected to be until October 2024, and maybe longer.

Working Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm

Driving Licence Required: Yes, with access to own vehicle

Coverage Area: Birkenhead to Tarporley (depending on breakdowns and PPMs)

Pay Rates:

£13.00 – 13.80 per hour PAYE inclusive

£14.50 – 15.30 per hour Umbrella

Rates above are dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Overview:

The role involves maintaining, repairing, and inspecting plumbing systems, gas distribution, and drainage across healthcare properties. Tasks include both routine and emergency work, with some travel required within the designated coverage area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely maintain, fault-find, and repair plumbing and gas systems, including complex distribution systems.

* Inspect and maintain gas systems and related equipment.

* Adhere to safety regulations and Health & Safety Procedures.

* Respond to tasks via smartphone and coordinate with contractors.

* Conduct risk assessments and participate in training as required.

* Work independently and interpret instructions, drawings, and specifications.

* Work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

* Recognised plumbing apprenticeship or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating.

* Gas Safe Register certification (beneficial).

* WRAS certification or strong understanding of water and drainage regulations.

* Proficient in plumbing system maintenance and repair.

* Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and standards.

* Health and safety knowledge, particularly in a healthcare setting.

* Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.

* Basic computer proficiency.

1. Do you have a recognised plumbing apprenticeship or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating?

2. Are you proficient in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems within a healthcare or similar environment?

3. Do you hold a Gas Safe Register certification or have relevant experience with gas installations?

4. Are you knowledgeable about current water and drainage regulations, including WRAS or legionella guidelines?

5. Do you have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes?
