I am looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a global leader of sensing products and systems for highly critical environments.

You will be responsible for optimising production processes, identifying areas of improvement and enhancing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position within a manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Optimise and maintain Manufacturing Engineering processes in line with company and product quality standards, including ISO 9001.
Ensure robust designs and processes for the Manufacturing team, meeting product yield, quality, and time targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to champion and implement design for manufacturing principles throughout the product life cycle.
Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the Operations team.
Support the Operations team, providing training on best practices for key processes.
Create detailed and accurate work instructions using CAD and written documentation.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Previous experience in an Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering position
Degree / HND (or relevant experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
Proficient in CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and MRP systems
Ability to create and optimise work instructions for product manufacturing
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
