Avid Personnel are proud to be representing their client as they look to hire an experienced Quality Engineer to work out of their state-of-the-art facility located in Atcham.

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet established standards of quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management and engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

* Process Improvement: Analyse manufacturing processes for improvement using various methods of testing and inspection. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.

* Auditing and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and coordinate external customer/regulator audits to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored.

* Testing and Inspection: Develop and perform regular quality inspections and testing procedures on products to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and analyse production data.

* Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed documentation for quality control procedures, test results, and quality improvement initiatives. Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.

* Assuring adherence: Ensuring manufacturing processes are carried out to customer specific working practices and specifications

Qualifications:

* Education: Minimum of HND in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field

* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Ideally, familiarity with component supply into Automotive, Aviation or Medical industries would be beneficial.

* Technical Skills: Proficient in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques. Experience with QMS, SPC, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with CMM (PCDMIS) and Keyence Vision systems or similar advantageous.

* Software Proficiency: Experience with quality management software and tools such as Minitab or similar. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management.

* Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Self-motivated: Ability to work without close supervision.

Working Conditions:

* Environment: Work is performed in both office and manufacturing settings.

* Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. May require lifting and carrying up to 20kgs
