Engineering Manager

We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join a Global Manufacturer in Swansea. The company in question is a first class industry leader with a reputation for excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for a Senior Engineering position that will involve establishing and delivering an Engineering strategy for a large plant and also leading exciting new projects up to £1 million within the Engineering Team.

As Engineering Manager your duties will include:

- Delivering cultural change for the Engineering department and continuously evaluating and evolving a structure that meets the needs of the plant

- Developing KPIs and delivering measurable improvements to the Engineering team performance

- Developing an effective Planned Predictive Maintenance (PPM) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) program

- Ensuring the plant achieves its daily targets in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People.

- Leading CAPEX projects up to £1m within department

- Being responsible for achieving the cost goals required of the department through actions including, control of expenditure across Human Resource, Capital expenditure, consumables, and external labour

- Maintain an approach of 'never ending improvement'

This role involves direct management of 4 Engineers and a Maintenance and Facilities Lead. It is an excellent chance to be involved in putting your own stamp on a well functioning engineering department and then being highly influential in succession planning of the Engineering team, ensuring skills and qualifications are achieved in line with ongoing and new system requirements
