Mouldshop Production Manager up to 60k DOE

Location -Reading Site

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading UK Manufacturing firm for an Injection Mouldshop and Extrusion Production Manager with solid manufacturing and continuous improvement experience to support a team of 60+ employees with oversight across two busy production shifts.

You will be responsible for the planning and organisation of a busy mouldshop of 40 injection mould machines ranging from 25 to 668T, we also have additional extruder lines and flexible PVC machines.

Strong leadership of a large, dynamic team with demonstrable management experience is key for this role. The position will be working closely with the Mouldshop Technical Manager as an integral part of four management teams, there is scope for progression within a company that truly believes in developing their best people internally and has ambitious growth plans for the future.

Mouldshop Production Manager’s key responsibilities

* Liaising with other members of management to correct any production issues.

* Proficient with lean techniques (5S)

* Managing day to day activities of the Production team

* Increasing efficiency of the Production team through regular coaching.

* Ensuring Health and Safety obligations are met, working closely with the group Health & Safety Manager.

* Working closely with other departments to ensure continuity of supply to production and goods out.

* Supporting quality management, waste reduction and environmental sustainability targets.

* Working closely with the Operations Manager to deliver Mouldshop improvement plan.

What I am looking for ?

* Demonstrable experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager

* Knowledge of various assembly and manufacturing environments, automation would be desirable.

* Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods (5S).

* A confident communicator with other members of staff and senior management.

* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
