This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2 days based in our Barford office and 3 days working remotely. Regular hours are on a weekly alternating rota of 8am-4:30pm and 9am-5:30pm.

The Role
The Application Services Analyst will be responsible for providing 2nd line support and maintenance of our bespoke software applications. This will include diagnosing complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point for users of the platform and proactively ensuring the continuity of our platforms. Further, the Application Services Analyst will be responsible for configuring and monitoring our software products and data feeds which are critical to the success of the business.
As a software development company, the Application Services Analyst will have the opportunity to engage with and expand into a variety of additional areas including, but not limited to, Development, Testing, Product and Account Management. Knowledge of the automotive industry is desirable.

Experience
This role is suitable for a candidate with a strong background in application support, at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, is competent in supporting web hosting and database technologies, and has a willingness to develop their knowledge of our bespoke applications. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Microsoft SQL. Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI is desirable.

Responsibilities and Key Duties 

Provide outstanding 2nd line application support to a network of over 3000 motor trade customers in the UK and Europe.
Build a deep knowledge of our bespoke software products and act as an escalation point for technical queries and complex technical issues.
Be proactive, work on own initiative, maintain a high level of customer service for all support queries and represent the business in a professional manner. 
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot all elements of the software product, data feeds and third-party integrations.
Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to facilitate successful implementation of technical customer projects.
Maintain the Microsoft SQL database and Microsoft IIS application environments, monitor for trends and proactively resolve potential issues to ensure continuity of the platform.
Technical administration of the platform including onboarding and offboarding of internal users, management of licences and management of supporting software products.
Produce custom reports based on client requests.
Assist the Development team by acting as a subject matter expert to determine successful implementation of new features.
Work closely with our internal and external suppliers and partners.
