Building control surveyor – Leicester City
Location – LE1 1FQ
£19.33ph – On going contract
Major Objectives:

The protection of health and safety by the assessment of building work and the requirement of any necessary changes to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
To ensure that the policies of the company relating to equal opportunities are implemented in the carrying out of Building Control procedures.
To help ensure that the City’s sustainable development and environmental improvement policies are implemented and practised within the department.   
Summary of job tasks: The tasks listed are, generally, only those taking at least 10% of the post holder’s time.

To examine deposited plans to ensure that proposed work satisfies the relevant requirements.
To carry out site visits to ensure that building work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Building Act and other relevant legislation.
To visit sites, make reports and act in relation to dangerous structures and demolition sites.
To maintain adequate and relevant records of all sites visited in accordance with stated procedures. Too find out more information please contact Jude at (url removed)
