About Us:
1st Select Ltd are working in partnership with a small, dynamic multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield. The bulk of the projects are high-quality residential and commercial architecture with a strong emphasis on sustainability. As part of the growth plans we are looking for a RIBA Architect to lead and expand the architectural division.

We have a Building Surveying and Project Management division who work hand in hand with the architectural division to provide a holistic service to Clients and the Industry alike.

Role Overview:
As the head of our architectural division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm. You will be responsible for winning new projects, undertaking innovative designs, managing a team, and directing the architectural operations. This is a unique opportunity to grow with us, shape the business and potentially secure a shareholding stake in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the architectural division.

* Develop and implement design concepts for residential and commercial projects.

* Engage in business development activities to secure new projects.

* Manage financial aspects of the architectural division.

* Provide line management and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

* Qualified RIBA Architect.

* Strong knowledge of Passivehaus principles and/or construction techniques that meet Passivehaus criteria.

* Excellent design and project management skills.

* Proven ability to win work and develop client relationships.

* Strong leadership and team management abilities.

* Passion for sustainability and innovative design solutions.
