Job Title: FPGA Engineer

Location: Bristol/Hybrid

Salary: £60,000- £75,000

Job Description: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FPGA Engineer to join a growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing FPGA solutions for a variety of applications. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and scalable products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based solutions for various applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architecture.
Develop and optimise HDL code (VHDL/Verilog) for FPGA devices.
Perform simulation, synthesis, and verification of FPGA designs.
Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and validation.
Optimise FPGA designs for performance, power, and area.
Create and maintain design documentation and specifications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in FPGA technology.Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in FPGA design and development.
Proficiency in HDL languages such as VHDL and/or Verilog.
Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, or similar.
Strong understanding of digital design principles and hardware architectures.
Experience with simulation and verification tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with high-speed interfaces, memory interfaces, and embedded processors.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Skills:

Experience with high-level synthesis (HLS) tools.
Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and implementation.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.
Experience with board-level debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyser's).
