About the client

Contek are assisting their client in their search for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

My client are worldwide leaders in the R+D and Production of specialist metals for industries including Aerospace, Commercial Aerospace, Industrial and Defence sectors. Their facility consists of various production processes from Forging, Melting, Machining, Fabrication and Testing/Lab analysis.

As a Maintenance Electrician your duties will include:

* Routine maintenance support across the plant

* Provide preventative, corrective and reactive work across all plant equipment and facilities

* Fault finding

* Rewiring

* Monitoring a wide range of industrial equipment

* Setting up and configurating variable speed drives

The ideal candidates for this Maintenance Electrician position will:

* Be apprentice trained with relevant technical electrical qualifications (NVQ / ONC)

* Working knowledge of Scada systems

* Previous maintenance experience in a plant of manufacturing facilities

* Ability to read, interpret and mark up electrical drawings

* Have a good understanding of IEE wiring regulations

* Be experience working in a medium to heavy engineering environment

* Have an understanding of vacuum technology forges and presses

As a Maintenance Electrician you will work:

* 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off

* 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am

* £40,000 - £50,000

* 8% Pension

* 187.5 hours holiday
