Our client is an industry leader specialising in the complete life cycle from design to installation of self-storage facilities across the UK.
We are seeking a confident and decisive Operations Manager to take control of operations, delegate effectively, and ensure seamless project execution across departments.
Key responibilities:-
Leadership & Team Management:-
* Lead and manage internal teams, ensuring productivity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Oversee and support administration, ensuring efficient handling of project documentation.
* Monitor staff performance and implement process improvements where necessary.
Client & Project Management:-
* Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries and manage initial client interactions.
* Attend client meetings on-site with the Managing Director, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
* Manage client relationships, addressing any concerns or troubleshooting issues as they arise.
* Oversee project scheduling, ensuring timelines are met and projects are completed efficiently.
Operational & Compliance Oversight:-
* Liaise with subcontractors, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth coordination of work.
* Manage building control processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Prepare and maintain Health & Safety documentation, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
* Raise purchase orders and manage procurement processes effectively.
What We’re Looking For:-
* A confident, decisive leader with strong delegation and problem-solving skills.
* Proven experience in operations management, project management, or construction management, ideally within self-storage, construction, or a related industry.
* Ability to troubleshoot client and subcontractor issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
* Strong organizational skills with experience in project scheduling and team management.
* Experience with building control regulations is desirable, but full training will be provided.
* Competency in AutoCAD is preferred, with the ability to make minor amendments as required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, teams, and external stakeholders
