Interim Global Financial Controller - FinTech SaaS

£150,000 -£170,000. Fixed Term Contract 4 months

Are you an experienced Financial Controller with the ability to work in a scale up VC backed organisation.

Following a period of sustained growth, I am working with a well known tech client to find someone who is passionate about improving processes and controls to join their team on a Fixed term contract basis.

This role will be hybrid and there are options for working from home two days per week

What you will do:

Responsible for overseeing all financial accounting activities, including financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making

What you will need:

Proven experience as a financial controller in a scale-up, VC-backed organisation focused on accounting control
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and leadership ability
Advanced proficiency in financial accounting software and systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification
Proven track record of being a strong communicator who is able to be diplomatic, tactful and resilient
