Commissioning Engineer - Utilities (UK & Ireland)
Our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to oversee the commissioning of projects across the UK and Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of commissioning activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage on-site commissioning activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring smooth project handovers and client satisfaction.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and NICEIC electrical installation testing as required.
Develop and maintain commissioning plans, inspection/test plans, and training manuals.
Provide regular progress updates and deliver client training sessions.
Required Qualifications:
ONC, City & Guilds, or NVQ in a relevant engineering discipline.
Current CSCS/ECS card.
Proven experience in commissioning, including fault finding, variable speed drives (VSDs), and ultrasonic level control.
Full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
Confined Space, First Aid, IPAF, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
Familiarity with WIMES standards, BS7671 18th Edition, and C&G 2394/2395.
