Our client, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join their team. Main Responsibilities:

* Timely procurement and delivery of raw materials, assemblies, and support services to ensure uninterrupted production.

* Management of selected suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries while optimising inventory levels to prevent shortages and enhance turnover rates.

* Close collaboration with Engineering, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing teams, with a strong emphasis on environmental and ethical trading practices.

Key Criteria for Applicants:

* Experience in Procurement: Proven track record in procurement, especially in timely order placement and supplier management.

* Inventory Management Skills: Ability to effectively manage inventory levels, ensuring no shortages while maximising turnover.

* Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience in a team-oriented environment, coordinating with various departments such as Engineering, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing.

* Focus on Sustainability: A strong understanding of and commitment to environmental and ethical trading practices.

* Problem-solving Skills: Aptitude for identifying issues in the supply chain and implementing effective solutions.

* Communication Skills: Excellent abilities in negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with internal teams.
