Job Description
As a Warehouse and Procurement Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial operational role, managing the full procurement process from order processing to receipting goods in the warehouse and preparing them for the engineering team. You will be essential in ensuring that jobs are delivered on time and within budget.
This role is located in our St Albans, Hertfordshire office and requires a driven individual with a passion for learning and growing within a procurement/supply chain environment.
You will need to exhibit great teamwork skills and a willingness to support where needed to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement department. All tasks must align with the client's business values, providing unrivaled customer experience and professional service.
Primary Duties

Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders in compliance with company policies. Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise.

Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and arrange product samples. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new ones when necessary.

Engineering Support: Support the wider operational team in our fast-paced environment to ensure top service delivery to our customers.

Stock Management: Manage inventory levels in the warehouse and engineering van stock. Conduct regular stock checks, address discrepancies, and process returns for faulty or unwanted items within required timeframes.

Cost Management: Monitor procurement budgets and assist in cost-saving initiatives. Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates among potential suppliers to determine the best options.

Warehouse Management: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage recycled goods in line with our sustainability policy.

Reporting: Generate and analyze procurement reports for tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement. Assist in preparing reports for management review.
