This newly created Sales Director position within the business is a hugely exciting role that will see this individual being pivotal in supporting, guiding, coaching and helping the sales team across the business build on the success they have achieved to date.  The Sales Director will play a pivotal role as part of the Senior Management Team too (SMT) playing a key role in creating, shaping and managing the sales strategy across the business with an ultimate focus on driving sales growth, market share, new customer and account development as well as the entire business itself.  You'll work closely, guiding the already experienced and established sales team in the UK & Europe to achieve these objectives through key metrics, KPI’s, behavioural traits and specific focus all in line with the strategy set out.
 
We are seeking a passionate individual who comes with strong Sales Team Management experience, great coaching ability, persuasive and proven in delivering sales growth and structure through strong team management and leadership.  If this is also supported with a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.

Job Description

Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets, selling a range of Renewable Energy Technologies, with a main focus on Renewable Energy Battery Storage and EV Charging Technology.
Performance Management, through setting clear sales goals and KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
Strategy Development, contributing to the development and implementation of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion both in the UK and Europe.
Helping to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, fostering trust and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, market trends, and competitive threats.
Develop training programs to enhance the sales team's skills and product knowledge in the renewable energy sector, supported by regular coaching and reviews.
Working as part of the SMT to help guide and drive the continued success and direction of the business.
Producing sales reports against targets and outlined strategy for regular feedback to the board.  
Experience & Skills Required
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

A proven track record in the management of sales teams with successful outcomes.
Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, especially energy storage systems and their applications.
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
Experience in coaching and developing sales teams to enhance performance and skills.
Strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance data and implement improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proactive and self-driven with strong organizational skills.
Self motivated and high achieving desire.
Exceptional negotiation and reporting skills.
Experience working on a Board or SMT within an organisation.
