Shipping Business Analyst

Salary: up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience

The Company: A global shipping company providing logistic services to a variety of industries

Main Duties: To support with data analysis and report on cargo availability.

The Role:
- To support with data analysis projects and produce reporting tools
- To monitor cargo booking trends; to report on availability and forecast future availability
- To allocate vessel space and identify any concerns with availability vs demand
- To maintain strong client relations and ensure scheduled shipping services are adhered to
- To liaise with commercial departments and communicate cargo availability
- To identify optimal cargo movement to reduce congestion at ports whilst respecting fixed services

The Candidate:
- Experience or Degree-Level Qualification in Maritime Shipping - Essential
- Strong MS Excel skills – Essential
- Experience in data analysis with knowledge of Power Query or Power Bi - Beneficial
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, confident and dynamic personality
- Excellent communication skills and a team player

The salary: up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience
