About the role

The project is valued at circa £200m and involves a major motorway upgrade in South Hampshire to facilitate a major new residential development. This project has a life cycle of 2+ years with a further potential 3 years once it has been re-mobilised to Winchester. They are seeking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Section / Senior Engineer to assist in the timely and successful delivery of the project. This is a 75% office / 25% site-based position whereby the successful individual will be responsible for several Site Engineers and will be responsible for technical design and quality elements of their section with a supporting Sub Agent / Agent.

Section / Senior Engineer duties include:

Management of a section of works
Training & mentoring of Site Engineers
Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
Assist in production and integration of 3-week programmes
Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers
Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
Collaborate with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process
Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
