I am seeking an experienced Nurse who has an expertise in Dementia Care to take the lead within this highly established Nursing Home situated in the Nitshill area of Glasgow as part of their new & exciting dementia focused project.

The role will involve working alongside a range of specialists within the home including nurses, specialist practitioners & wellbeing specialists, which has been adapted significantly to support those living with dementia within a specialist part of the nursing home. You will support, develop & co-ordinate specialist dementia care & therapeutic interventions for those with complex dementia needs.

The Dementia Specialist Nurse will play an integral role in the smooth running of the Home, ensuring that residents receive the best care and support. You will be Nurse qualified, approachable and dedicated. The successful Dementia Specialist will have extensive experience in supporting people living with Dementia and will be able to demonstrate this though professional development and evidenced in training.

Requirements of the Dementia Specialist Nurse:

• Nurse Qualified - RGN / RMN Active Pin - no restrictions.
• An expertise & passion for Dementia Care.
• Evidence of professional development.
• Excellent communication skills.
