Located in East London, they deliver projects in the leisure, education, retail, healthcare, and housing sectors and have built a strong reputation for completing projects on time with maximum client satisfaction.
The work with both private and public sector clients and deliver a range of new build and refurbishment projects.
Project Sizes typically range between £500,000 & £25 million but they have delivered schemes of larger values.
The Role
Our client is actively recruiting an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join the business and work on a range of tenders. The candidate will ideally have a strong track record and have experience of putting together a tender from 1st principles.
Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* This role will be focused of advising, preparing, and winning new tenders for the business.
* This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy.
* You will need to assist as well as manage the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender, and post tender interviews and provide data as requested.
* Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, and other related documents.
* Compute costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
* Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
* Prepares special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as and when needed.
* Organise sub-contractors’ quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders.
* Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labour costing.
* Analyse drawings and specifications.
* Understand contractual terms and conditions.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with these attributes:
* Experience working for a main contractor
* A strong track record of producing working winning tenders.
* Degree qualified or relevant construction qualification
* Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
* Dedicated individual that has a ‘hands on’ approach and the ability to work off their own initiative
