Maintenance Planner

Location: Winterbourne, Bristol (BS36)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm)

Kingston Barnes is recruiting a Maintenance Planner for our client in North Bristol to support engineering and production teams by developing and managing preventive maintenance plans, scheduling work orders, and ensuring smooth coordination between maintenance and production activities. This role is key in minimising downtime and improving plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and oversee an effective preventive maintenance plan for all assets.

* Coordinate with production planners, shift leaders, and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules.

* Manage the CMMS system (Agility), ensuring accurate records, work order scheduling, and reporting.

* Organise contractor bookings, spare parts procurement, and raise purchase orders as needed.

* Support the engineering team with training programmes, ensuring compliance and best practices.

* Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) to drive continuous improvement.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.

Requirements:

Essential:

* Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project).

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

* Experience with maintenance planning in a regulated industry.

* Knowledge of engineering equipment and CMMS systems.
