Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs in a primary school setting. This is a vital role for someone who can provide personalised care, maintain consistency, and respond calmly in moments of emotional or behavioural difficulty.

Key Responsibilities

Work one-to-one with a child who has additional needs, providing academic and emotional support

*

Deliver structured, calm interventions in response to moments of crisis or dysregulation

*

Assist with personal care, ensuring the child is safe, comfortable, and supported

*

Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment

*

Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning and behaviour plans

Required Experience

*

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with emotional regulation needs

*

Willingness to support personal care routines

*

A calm, empathetic and understanding approach during challenging moments

*

Strong teamwork and communication skills
